Danielle Allentuck is a sports reporter for The Banner in Montgomery County. She previously reported on the Orioles for The Banner for three seasons and the Rockies for the Denver Gazette for two seasons and general assignments for The New York Times as part of its fellowship program, where she wrote about everything from a sidearm pitching community to Simone Biles’ record-breaking skills. She had internships at USA Today, The Buffalo News and NBC Olympics and traveled to Siberia in 2019 to cover the World University Games. She’s won awards from the Associated Press Sports Editors and the International Press Association (AIPS) and is an active member of the Association for Women in Sports Media. A Maryland native, Danielle grew up in Montgomery County and graduated from Ithaca College.
